Dr Natali Lazzari
Natali is a socio-ecologist committed to advancing sustainable and inclusive management of coastal and marine environments. With a Ph.D. from the University of Barcelona, she specializes in integrating social and ecological data to explore the complex relationships that shape marine social-ecological systems. Currently, as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral fellow at the Global Ecology Lab, she works on the REVALSEA project, gathering empirical evidence to quantify and predict why marine nature matters for people. Her work emphasizes the relational aspect of human-nature connections, as outlined by the IPBES framework, with the aim of informing policies that support ecological integrity, social equity, and human well-being.
